００７シリーズ第４作目。
犯罪組織スペクターによって（No.2が指揮者）奪われたバルカン戦闘機に搭載されていた原爆２個との引き替えに１億ポンド相当のダイヤモンドを要求されたNATOは（イギリスは）００７を派遣し奪還をはかる。数々のアクションシーンのうち海中での戦いのシーンが見ものでした。

Thunderball（ サンダーボール）の意味は、アメリカ、ネヴァタ州の核実験の時に、舞い上がったキノコ雲が繰り返し爆発を繰り返すところを指したのもの。今回は原子爆弾に関連する事件だったからその名前がつけられたといいます。




テーマソングは日本語訳をするとつまらなくなります。このままで味わうとなんともいえません。
